For The Love Of Sci-Fi

Last weekend saw For The Love Of Sci-Fi at Bowlers exhibition centre with some big names, including William Shatner, Dolph Lungren, David Hasslehoff, Billy Dee Williams, Ernie Hudson, Jennifer Runyon, Zach Galligan, Casper van dien and a whole host more.

The huge exhibition space had some amazing builds including a hand built Colonial Viper, including Battlestar Galactica, a Tie Advanced from Star wars, A Batwing, K.I.T.T. and Ecto-1, along with many other custom built replicas and screen used props.

There was also a whole host of stalls that sold everything from hand carved Batarangs to Time Lord t-shirts and suffice to say I spent a blooming fortune treating myself to some Batman memorabilia and presents for some sci fi buff friends christmas stockings. The range of stalls was literally fantastic with sooo many things on offer I spent a small fortune.

Every year this event seems to get bigger and bigger and books larger names to bring to Manchester (Willam Shatner in Manchester… at first people did not believe me when I said that) and I believe plans are afoot for an even bigger event and larger names (how can you top Shatner and co from this year?) for next year, so keep an eye on their social channel HERE and (Of course) on 80sNostalgia where we will keep you informed about next years event.

Check out the gallery of photos from the event below. (Photos by Kieran Anders.)
