This is a story about an ordinary teddy-bear. When he was made, they found something wrong with him, and threw him away like a piece of rubbish into an old dark storeroom. Then from outer-space, a spotty man bought him back to life with his cosmic dust. He took him to a magic cloud where Mother Nature gave him special powers. That bear became Super Ted!
Oh God! Give me strength. You know how I feel about all these super-heroes, and now we have a super-hero teddy bear. What is the world coming to!!???
It does make you think though. He was thrown away because there was something wrong with him. What exactly was wrong with him? It’s a tad worrying the fact that he has these special powers and we have no idea why he was thrown away in the first place. For all we know, he could have a split personality, and one day he might flip out and destroy the entire planet. No-one thought to check these things, did they? All we know is that there was something wrong with him. He looks perfectly healthy to me, so that’s why I now have a phobia of teddy bears.
Anyway, I’m going off on one again. I must stop doing that and just get on with telling you about the damn program. Superted lives in a space station, or a tree-house, or a dumpster (you don’t usually get to see that, but he usually ends up there on a Friday evening. Believe me, I’ve share a dumpster with him many a time after a night out on the town). He shares his humble abode(s) with his friend Spotty, who was the guy who rescued him in the first place.
By day he’s your average walking talking teddy bear, but by muttering some secret words, he becomes Superted!
Wonderful stuff, but there’s always a bad guy. In this case, it’s Texas Pete with his sidekicks Bulk and Skeleton. They’re always up to something or other that causes a problem for someone or other. But as with all super heroes, Super Ted always wins the Day.
